COVID-19 Guidelines for Skokie’ Backlot Bash 

All patrons of Skokie’s Backlot Bash are encouraged to wear a mask in this outdoor setting.   If individuals are unvaccinated or at high risk for COVID-19, those individuals should avoid crowded areas of the festival and stay at least 6 feet away from other groups. Individuals must stay home and get tested if they develop any symptoms of COVID-19, even if individuals are fully vaccinated.

Individuals (staff, volunteers, patrons) should NOT attend Skokie’s Backlot Bash if: 

  • Within 14 days before attending the festival the individual has tested positive, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19 

  • Within 48 hours prior to attending the festival, the individual has experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). 

Backlot Safety Measures 

  • Mask stations will be set-up in high traffic areas for those who left their mask at home or decide they would like to mask up. 

  • Additional sanitizing stations fitted with hand sanitizer are on the grounds. 

  • An electrostatic disinfectant sprayer for large high touched areas will be used as well as well as Backlot staff sanitizing high touch areas.

  • Get vaccinated! Free COVID-19 vaccines are readily available throughout Skokie, including the Skokie Health Department.
