Backlot Bash Films at the Skokie Theatre

Free Silent Movies at the Backlot Bash – Sat. & Sun.
Join us Saturday, Aug. 25 and Sunday, Aug. 26, from noon to 5 p.m for Skokie's Backlot Bash free silent movie festival. Skokie's Backlot Bash will be in full swing with over 35,000 people attending this annual summer event. The Backlot Bash got its name from Downtown Skokie's history as a western "backlot" set for the silent film industry, popular in the Chicago area 1907-15, before it's move west to Hollywood.

The films are rotating and you can stay a few minutes or for the afternoon. (See films at left.)
